Wool in Norfolk-Roger Arguile

England’s prosperity in the centuries after the Norman Conquest was made from wool and later from cloth. But everywhere in the country was different and the story of wool and cloth manufacture in Norfolk is both hard to find and complicated. Roger Arguile has attempted to probe the complexities of wool manufacture hereabouts and thinks he has found out about some of it.

 

Meet at the Sheringham Museum at the Mo.
The museum is on Lifeboat Plain. Please use the School Entrance towards the rear of the building.
