Aylsham Roman Project (ARP): An Update-Sheila Denny

Sheila writes “Our site, at Woodgate Nursery in Aylsham, has a history that we are only gradually discovering. Our first dig was in 2016 and our presentation goes through what we have uncovered and been doing over the period since then.

We are a community archaeology group for all ages and abilities, professional and non-professionals, working alongside and learning from each other. Our strapline – getting the community into holes – is certainly true, with over 100 Friends regularly supporting us and many turning up each year and throughout the year to continue the cleaning, sorting, counting and weighing ready for the following year.”
