The growth of Sheringham as a resort town-Tim Groves

1 June 2022 :7:30 PM - 9:15 PM

Sheringham sands many years ago

Tim was a founder of Sheringham Museum back in the late 1980s. He is now Chairman of the Board of Directors and spends much of his time researching and writing about Sheringham’s rich social history with a favourite area being the development of the town from mid Victorian times through to the present day.

A large part of this has been centered around the development of Sheringham as a place for holidays and the associated businesses that a successful holiday resort supports and depends upon.

The talk in June will largely centre around the theme of Sheringham Museum’s 2022 special exhibition -“Oh I Do Like to be Beside The Seaside”. The talk will be fully illustrated.
