Neil Storey returns to present the second part of his hugely popular lecture on North Norfolk in the Second World War. In a superbly illustrated lecture he will explore the fascinating story of our local area during the later war years. The focus, as always, will be on North Norfolk but will set what was happening here in the wider context of the country at war and the impact the war had on local communities. This is the story of the people’s war on our home front including coastal military defence measures, spy scares, local military and civilian wartime forces, the changing roles of women and Victory in 1945.
